QUESTIONS - www.robgrimesphotography.co.uk

I know there are many questions you might want to ask, so to help in your planning I have listed a few questions about my photography services below:

Describe your style of photography?
I am a documentary style of photographer, that means I like to capture the day as it unfolds with the emphasis on capturing the day, love, fun and romance as it happens. I also aim to produce stunning portraits of the Bride & Groom with either natural light or creative lighting techniques. If you are after a more traditional style of photographer who works to a wish list of required images or images as captured by other photographers, then I am not the photographer for your wedding.

Do you capture group shots?
I do capture group shots and If there is a specific family image you are after then I am more than happy to capture that. But if you want an endless list of group images, then be aware that they take on average 5-10 mins to find everyone for that one image. For me, I could be capturing the fun of the day and your friends enjoying themselves rather than being posed in a formal image.

Where are you based?
I’m currently based in Nottingham (NG19) in the Midlands and I’m available to work all over the UK and abroad.

I’m getting married abroad?
If you’re planning on having your wedding abroad or away from the UK, then please email for a bespoke Destination Wedding Quote here. I have captured weddings away from the UK in ParisBarcelona, America and coming soon the South of France and Lapland to name a few overseas locations.

Image rights from the USB/DVD?
Included in your contract is an image license for you the client, so YES your more than welcome to use the images and produce your prints.

How long before we receive and see our wedding images?
Your final edited images will be online in your personal password protected gallery by way of the website within 6-8 weeks, your final collection of wedding images on USB will be with you around the same time, if not earlier. A sneak preview of your wedding will appear on my blog & Facebook a week after the wedding, this is a sneak preview for your family & friends to see.

How do family & friends buy the wedding images?
Before your wedding, you will have been sent your password (invoice number) to allow you access to view your protected online gallery, please pass this onto you family and friends, they can then see you final wedding images and download direct with the pin code provided to you.

Do we have to feed you?
It would be great if you could feed me during the wedding day as it’s a very long day and with hardly anytime for me to eat. I love food also so any food makes me smile.

Whats you deposit and how do we pay?
My holding fee is £400.00 {as shown in the wedding contract & non refundable}, so to secure your wedding date, just return your contract with the required fee and your date is then secure. The remaining balance is required 28 days before your wedding date. All payments can be made by cheque of bank transfer.

Any hidden costs?
No is the answer. If your wedding and ceremony requires an overnight or longer stay in the UK or Europe, then I will charge modest hotel and subsistence charged at a rate of £65.00 per day.

How do we stay in touch?
I like to keep in regular contact with you during the planning phase before your wedding and I know its hard to be there in person all the time, but we can chat either by way of Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Mobile or Landline phone calls. I’m here for you and love to hear your ideas and just chat about you special day.

What photography equipment do you use?
I’m a Nikon Professional user and I come armed with a variety of cameras, lenses and other stuff, I an not going to bore you with the finer details, but I have enough and back ups in case something should break.

Second Photographer?
About 50% of my wedding I tend to shoot them alone, but the opportunity to work with a second photographer is brilliant, as I cannot be in two places at once. With the cost of a second photographer at £295.00 for the whole day, you then get 2 professional photographers capturing your wedding day. Alisha my beautiful partner in life and crime is my preferred second photographer, your love for each other shows in our work together. However she is also a commercial and fashion photographer and not always available to second shoot for me, so I have a  great network of friends that can shoot with me

Do you produce wedding albums?
Yes is the answer, I love to create beautiful wedding albums for couples. There is nothing better than seeing your wedding images in print, in a beautiful linen or leather wedding album. If you require an album with your wedding package then I offer two types, both the same size but one is Linen & the other is Leather. I can simply add the costs to your wedding package, or in the future we can design you your album after the actual wedding day.

Are you insured?
Yes, I’m fully insured as a professional photographer and can provide your with a copy of my public liability and indemnity insurance details.
