The secret shoot is out.

So a while ago after getting to chatting to Lel, she asked me if I would be interested in shooting her a set of images for her re branded and newly designed website that was going to be launched in or around August/September time. I was a little taken back by the fact she had asked me, considering there are so many great photographers out there that Lel could have asked or used, but i was honoured and also slightly nervous that she had asked me.

So we kept the idea between ourselves and so we planned the day and we couldn’t have timed it any better with the weather, the whole day was baked in glorious sunshine and set in the backdrop of Brighton, a place that is just so cool and vibrant as our playground for the shoot. We kicked the day off around 10am and started by the beach areas after an ice cream until the mid day sun before stopping for one of the greatest sunday dinners in one of her local pubs. After that short break we then headed into the centre of Brighton itself, the beaches were now full to the brim, so we wanted to take advantage of the inner city and try to stay out of the brightness of the sun, so we found as many cool, interesting places and ally ways as we could and tried some off camera flash ideas before stopping a few times for coffee and cake…it was sunday a day of relaxation as well!! After another short break we then headed to the beach, met up with John and Jess and managed to sneak some family portraits in also before me and Lel walked all the way back to hers along the beach to use all of the last available golden sunlight that was left.

Then around 9pm with a few hundred images, we laughed, smiled and called it a wrap for the day. We had walked over 6-7 miles from 10am till 9pm, we had laughed over and over again at all the silly things us crazy photographers do, ate far to much, and shared an amazing day shooting some stunning images for Lel’s new website.
