One of my new years resolutions this year was to get out and about in order to photograph more, so I came up with this brief and quick project of being able to photograph Edinburgh in a variety of ways.

The main idea of this project is that I can only use 1 x camera (Nikon D700) 1 x lens (24-70mm f2.8) and can only shoot on manual mode, this is in order to continue my learning and push me to work harder for the pictures I want.

There a few other rules with which I must comply with, and they are; any picture taken is only to be edited into Black & White, no cropping post capture is allowed, so the picture you see is the picture I took at the time of capture, so again this will make me have to work and think more about the final image I want you all to see.

The pictures below are a result of no cropping, thinking more about what I want, all shot in manual on one camera with one lens and only edited into Black & White ūüôā

These images were all taken during the day on the 7th January 2011 and I hope you like this series of street photography images.

Keep an eye out for part 2, Edinburgh at Night (Black & White) coming soon.
